Today the largest torrent site, The Pirate Bay, rolls out The Promo Bay, a free promotional campaign platform to help artists reach millions of people.
The Pirate Bay sometimes replace their logo on their homepage with artists’ logos. This free campaign is an extension of that. Artists will have a chance to advertise their work to millions of visitors right on The Pirate Bay’s homepage.
Artists must offer something free in return to use the platform and can target a maximum of three countries. If The Pirate Bay team is impressed, they may choose to promote the artist worldwide.
Baltimore band The Perfects return to NYC at Bardot Heights on December 2nd to perform hits from their second album Many Nights, including the popular single "Girls That Dance." A music video was recently released for "Girls That Dance" and the single will appear on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, The Bad Girls Club, The Real World and more.

Citigroup has selected two auction winners for EMI's publishing and recording music division for $4.1 Billion. The deals are almost in completion. Sony will purchase EMI's publishing arm for $2.2 Billion. Universal will purchase the label for $1.9 Billion.
EU regulators are voicing concerns that Vivendi's Universal, the largest of the majors, might be too big and may have to sell some assets before this deal is approved.
